Testimonials
"Thank you for being there for me at a time when I needed all the help I could find. Without your foundation I would have had a very difficult time getting to Lincoln to see my oncologist, or my infusion treatments. Without your help there is no way I could have afforded my medications. You are a huge blessing from God!”
Carren (Candi) Oshel of Seward, Nebraska "The foundation has eased my financial anxiety with my treatment. The assistance with the gas vouchers has made it possible to get to all appointments. Thank you very, very much for your caring assistance.”
Loanna Chandler of Lincoln, Nebraska |
"While being treated at the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Center, Jean experienced the utmost in every faction of her care. The care and compassion from everyone she encountered at the clinic gave her ample opportunity to experience the best of whatever life she had remaining. The compassion extended beyond what one normally expects from the medical community and even beyond what our insurance and government recommended. It included advice regarding social activities and lifestyle.
Dr. Barrios was especially caring and made it clear that the best treatment possible was his ultimate goal. His personal communications kept the whole family extremely well informed and prepared for the progression of Jean’s disease. Because of this exemplary level of care the whole family, Jean and her siblings discussed what would be an appropriate expression of gratitude. It was decided that 'paying it forward' would be most appropriate. It was decided that an endowment designed to help pay for the same kind of care Jean received should be created for other Nebraskans who might not be otherwise able to afford it. The family set a goal of $10,000 and began the required procedures to accomplish the goal. Thanks to the generosity of family and friends this goal has been far exceeded and now even outside investors are contributing.” Bob Augustine of Lincoln, Nebraska |
